KAZIIKINI CAMP - RATES, BOOKING PROCEDURES AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Ideally located on the main road to Moremi Game Reserve, approximately 65kms from Maun, Kaziikini offers 4 simple reed and thatch Traditional Rondawel Huts with 2 (immovable) beds in each and 5 large campsites.  
The Traditional Rondawel Huts and Campsites all use the central ablution facilities (hot showers, flush toilets in open air reed constructions).  Campsites have water standpipes, braai stand and dustbins.
Firewood and locally produced curios are available for sale at Reception.  Meals may be taken in the Dining Room from the A La Carte Menu (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks).  Ice-cold drinks available from the Bar.
Camping Fees:  P60.00 per per person per night.  Nil for children under 7. 7 - 11YRS is P30.00
Traditional Rondawel Huts (sleeps 2 persons):  P190 per night per rondawel hut inclusive of bedding.
Self-Drive Game Drives in our concession:  P40 per person inclusive of Community Escort Guide.
All bookings for Kaziikini Camp should be made in writing by fax or email.  Telephonic bookings should be followed up immediately with a written confirmation.  All bookings are held on a provisional basis until the required payment has been received.  Payments should be received by us within 7 days of making the reservation, failing which we reserve the right to allocate space to other definite bookings.
All cancellations must be given in writing by fax or email.  Once the required deposit has been received by us, the following scale of cancellation penalties will apply:    For cancellations received
6 weeks or more in advance25% of total tour cost + charges
Within 6 weeks of arrival50% of total tour cost + charges
Within 4 weeks of arrival65% of total tour cost + charges
Within 2 weeks of arrival or no-showNo Refund
Please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to cover these cancellation penalties, as the cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to.  It is a prerequisite of booking that guests have adequate travel insurance to cover any emergency casualty evacuation and/or hospitalization which may be necessary during their stay with us.

October 2nd - Domboshaba Festival - Domboshaba- The 2010 festival will be held on

    Sat, Oct 2nd 2010. Although performances will commence on the evening of Oct 1st,

    the most important activities will be on Oct 2nd from 9AM- 6PM. Entry fees are likely

    to be no more than P50 person. Most visitors take the opportunity to visit the medieval

    Domboshaba Ruins, ~2km form the festival site. This is highly recommended. The

    community is very friendly and welcomes international tourists. This maybe the largest

    cultural festival in Botswana.

Movement of Meat in Botswana

 

You are allowed to bring in 25kg per family, excluding periods of Foot and Mouth Disease.

This should not be an issue normally. There are quality butcheries at relatively inexpensive prices.

General rules for movement of meat in Botswana:

You can take meat from South to North.

You can take meat from East to West.
